NEW NINTENDO DSi

RELEASE DATE: APRIL 5,2009

I've been playing the new Nintendo DSi for a few months now and I must say I'm very impressed. I've never played the original DS so it was a complete new experience for me. The most fun I've ever had with a handheld game system. The use of the stylus adds a unique feature to the game world. The graphics aren't the greatest, but the gameplay is very entertaining. Haven't yet played too many games, so as of right now there is no top 10 greatest list. Of course when I purchased the system I came home with Chinatown Wars, and after five months I'm still hooked. I carry my DSi wherever I go. I went to get service for my car, and I enjoyed waiting in the customer lounge thanks to the DSi. I'm definitely happy with this purchase. The best $160 I've ever spent.

NINTENDO Wii GAME REVIEW: SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL

DEVELOPED BY: NINTENDO

PUBLISHED BY: NINTENDO

RELEASE DATE: MARCH 9,2008

GENRE: FIGHTING / ACTION ADVENTURE

I purchased this game the first day it was released, and one year later I'm still hooked. Of course with every Mario game this one is definitely a hit. Action packed super smash battling and brawling action once the game starts. Not your typical fighting game. The game can be played with one to four players at once with a huge selection of characters and stages. You can also battle with people from other parts of the world with the online multiplayer mode. This is the first Super Smash Bros with a co-op play adventure mode. Choose any of your favorite characters to unleash a beatdown on your opponent. About forty different characters to choose from.

Each character possesses it's own unique fighting style. And of course most of your opponents are characters from previous and present day Nintendo games. A must have edition to your collection of Wii games. I give this game a 9 out of 10.

PLAYSTATION 3 GAME REVIEW: STREET FIGHTER 4

DEVELOPED BY: CAPCOM

PUBLISHED BY: CAPCOM

RELEASE DATE: FEBRUARY 17,2009

GENRE: FIGHTING

Ken and Ryu are back in Street Fighter 4, the latest edition to Capcom's smash hit. Back with its classic 2D fighting style, but with 3D backgrounds and characterization. This edition welcomes the arrivals of new characters Crimson Viper, Rufus, Abel, and El Fuerte. There are many new moves and special features which makes this one better than all its predecessors. The last boss's name is Seth. A very powerful opponent who possesses the powers of all the street fighter characters. He looks like Dr. Manhattan from The Watchmen. I was playing this game for hours at a time. Had tons of fun unlocking all the characters and stages. Right now this is the best fighting game out for Playstation 3 so go out and buy it! I give this game a 9 out of 10.

PLAYSTATION 3 GAME REVIEW: GRAND THEFT AUTO 4

DEVELOPED BY: ROCKSTAR NORTH

PUBLISHED BY: ROCKSTAR GAMES

RELEASE DATE: APRIL 29, 2008

GENRE: THIRD PERSON SHOOTER / ACTION ADVENTURE

This is the game of all games that made me purchase a Playstation3. I have owned the game for almost a year now, and I've yet to beat it. I'm so occupied with doing all the side missions, going to the strip club, playing pool, bowling, and going out on a date. Sounds like my real life, but it's all in one wicked game. This is why I have to rank this game the number one greatest game of all time. The Grand Theft series have all been hits, but I chose to place only this one on my "Best Games of All Time" list. Every other Grand Theft game deserves to be on that list, however if they were I wouldn't have enough room for all the other games that deserve credibility. San Andreas would have been number 2, and Vice City following behind. In this edition you play as Neiko, a Russian immigrant fresh off the boat and now in Liberty City. And of course, time to go out and make a name of yourself. With the help of cousin Roman, Neiko will embark on a journey of being a hired goon, begginng his climb to the top of the criminal billboard charts. You will be able to free roam through Liberty City, stealing cars, running people over, resisting arrest, doing whatever you want basically. There are many side missions which allow you to become friends with the characters Neiko interacts with such as Roman. The friend missions will give Neiko more respect and popularity, which allows Neiko much needed benefits throughout the games. There are so many options when playing this game. Sometimes its hard to keep up with the friend missions. If you ignore the friend missions, your popularity and respect will decrease with that friend. You will also lose the friend benefits. In the beginning of the game Roman gives you a cellphone, which you can use to keep in touch with the criminal system. This is how your friends will reach you when they need you, or just want to hang out. They will also text you. You use your phone to input cheat codes, and access all your other options for the game. You can also engage in the online multiplayer mode through your phone. There are many different game modes for the online action. I have a blast every time I play the "Deathmatch" mode. It's an all out war; everyone against everyone. It never gets boring. You gain rank on multiplayer mode which unlocks more uniforms and clothes. I can go on for miles writing about this game. Unless you play it, you will not know the full experience. I give this game a 10 out of 10.

NINTENDO Wii GAME REVIEW: RESIDENT EVIL 4

DEVELOPED BY: CAPCOM

PUBLISHED BY: CAPCOM

RELEASE DATE: JUNE 19,2007

GENRE: ACTION RPG / STRATEGY

When I first purchased my Nintendo Wii I also came home with Resident Evil. I passed up Metroid Prime to get this title, and I have no regrets. By far the best Resident Evil game I've played. Took me about two weeks to beat the game, but I was only playing about an hour or two a day. Fun game from beginning to end. I had so much fun that I beat the game in every level difficulty, unlocked everything, and got every single upgrade for every weapon. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep every weapon due to to lack of space in my weapons box. The game is just like every other Resident Evil just with a few more quirks, better graphics, and a new story. What makes this Resident Evil different from the rest is the Wii controler. Rather than aiming the normal way using the buttons on the controller, with the Wii remote you just point at the screen and get a "House of the Dead 2" type of feeling. A fun and exciting game from beginning to end. Played this game in the dark and It felt even more intense. Zombies attacking from behind made my heart jump several times. Still waiting for the second edition for Wii to come out. I give this game a 9 out of 10.

NINTENDO Wii GAME REVIEW: NO MORE HEROES

DEVELOPED BY: GRASSHOPPER MANUFACTURE

PUBLISHED BY: UBISOFT / MARVELOUS ENTERTAINMENT

RELEASE DATE: JANUARY 22,2008

GENRE: THIRD PERSON ACTION

This game has the potential to be the greatest game I have ever played, however it's just not long enough. I beat the game in just one day, and I'll admit, I had more fun playing that game than any other game. If they would have made it a lot longer, and slightly harder, then definitely would have been my number one pick. You play as an assassin, and your number one priority in the game is to become the highest ranked assassin in the world. There are ten other assassins that are in your way to becoming the number one killer of all killers. The game is set up a little like Grand Theft, where you can free roam through the city on a cool looking motorcycle, and choose what missions you want to do. Different missions give you power ups, and upgrade your weapon which looks like a light saber. During attack mode you swing the Wii remote like your swinging a light saber which makes you feel like your in the game. Object of the game: Kill all the other assassins that are ranked higher than you. Assassin number 10 through 1 have to be killed in that order. During the game you receive a phone call on which to use the Wii remote to answer, and then listen for further instructions. You have the option of beating the game several times while keeping your upgrades from previous games, but it just makes you thirsty for more fresh kills. Hopefully the next No More Heroes will be a lot longer, rather than just having 10 bosses. I give this game a 9 out of 10.

PLAYSTATION 3 GAME REVIEW: LITTLE BIG PLANET

DEVELOPED BY: MEDIA MOLECULE

PUBLISHED BY: SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT

RELEASE DATE: OCTOBER 28,2008

GENRE: PLATFORMER

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Little Big Planet for the PS3, so I had to go and check it out for myself. I was very impressed by the graphics, and also very entertained when playing the game. You start out with a character that looks like a plain rag doll, and you get to customize your little rag doll the way you want. Many different options to choose from as far as appearance. You can also customize your home base, or shall I say "Hub" which is where you start off each game before you select a mission. In each mission you pretty much have to run through the board going through different obstacles, and death traps while running jumping, and grabbing. As you walk through each mission you can customize the stage with cool stickers. You also use these stickers to unlock prizes, special uniforms, and locked missions. There is also the option to create, and publish your own mission/stage with unlimited possibilities on the customization. I'm defiantly happy with purchasing this game, and I would give it a 9 out of 10.
